Delete your Crosshatch account

Last updated 16 September 2026 · Spintech Studio · Privacy policy

You can delete your Crosshatch account and everything attached to it. There are two ways: do it yourself inside the app, which is immediate, or ask us, which is for when you no longer have the app installed.

Do it yourself, in the app

  1. Open Crosshatch.
  2. Tap the circle with your initial, top right of the home screen.
  3. Tap Account.
  4. Tap Delete account, and confirm.

It happens straight away. You do not need to email anyone, and you do not need to wait for us.

This works for guest accounts too. If you have been playing without signing in with Google, that guest account is still an account, and the same steps delete it.

Or ask us

If you have uninstalled the app, lost the device, or cannot get in for any other reason, write to spintechstudio@gmail.com and say you want your Crosshatch account deleted.

Please write from the email address the account uses, or tell us the display name you played under, so we can find the right account and — just as importantly — not delete somebody else's. We will confirm when it is done. This is handled by a person reading email, not an automated form, so allow a few days.

What is deleted

Your profileDisplay name, photo and email address held by the app
Your rating and recordRating, games played, games won
Your best wordsThe highest-scoring words the app remembered
Your daily scoresEvery entry you submitted to a daily board, and your place on that table
Your notification tokensSo the app can no longer reach your device
Your sign-inThe account itself, at the authentication provider

Games you had in progress are resigned first, so nobody is left waiting for a turn from a player who has gone.

What is kept, and why

Games you already finished stay in your opponents' history, with your side of them anonymised — your name and photo are removed and the slot reads as a former player. They are kept because they are your opponents' games as well as yours, and their own record of what they played would otherwise be torn up along with yours. Nothing in a kept game identifies you.

Crash reports already sent to Google Crashlytics are not tied to your account and are not retrievable by us individually; they age out on Google's own schedule.

Deleting is not reversible. There is no undo and no grace period — if you sign in again afterwards you get a new, empty account.

If you only want to stop notifications

You do not have to delete anything. Open the app, go to your profile, then Settings, and turn the alerts off — or turn Crosshatch's notifications off in your Android settings.
